The transmission of the BM series was designed with a special focus on efficiency. The fully synchronised system uses meshed helical gears. It is available in two transmission types: 16F + 8R Multitorque or 16F + 8R Super Creeper.

The Multitorque is a semi-powershift transmission that Valtra pioneered in the Brazilian Market. It enables a gear change without the need to use a clutch pedal.

The super creeper transmission reaches a minimum speed of 310 m/h at 1,860 engine rpm, which is ideal for low speed applications.
