A4 Series

Valtra's A4 Series is equipped with a 3, or 4-cylinder AGCO Power engine. The common-rail injection system makes it possible to work with high torque at lower rpm, reducing fuel consumption.

A cruise control button allows the operator to set the required engine revolutions for a specific task. This allows you to set the desired work speed for each task.

The 12, 3-speed transmission is achieved through an easy to operate 6 sequential speeds with high and low on a separate gear lever.

This modern, 12-forward by 12-reverse synchronized transmission is fitted with an electro-hydraulic Power Shuttle as standard. This provides forward and reverses direction changes even when the tractor is running. 

The gear lever features a HiShift button to activate the clutch without using the clutch pedal. This enables the operator to focus on the task at hand.

The Valtra A4 is fiited with creeper as standard.

The forward-reverse clutches are controlled by electronic control unit modulating the speed of engagement to ensure smooth changes between forward and reverse.

Control is via a modern PTO clutch, which is electro-hydraulically engaged and ‘eases’ the engagement, to protect the driveline by gradually taking up the drive. 

The A104 model has a 2-speed PTO including a 540 eco while A124 and A134 models are equipped with 3-speed PTO including a 540 Eco

All Valtra A4 models are equipped with a dual pump setup. The first 57 l/min gear pumps can be used independently, and an extra 41 l/min pump can be combined to provide a total flow of up to 98 l/min. The flow through one of the bunks can be controlled through a flow divider to power hydraulic-driven implements.

The system provides precise and responsive control of linkage functions ensuring accurate management of working depth. This leads to faster response and consistent accuracy. This means that the draft control reacts quickly to ensure maximum traction at all times, minimizing wheel spin.

Active transport control senses the weight of the implement carried by the linkage. The hydraulic system acts as a shock absorber stabilizing the implement during transport and fertilizer spreading applications.
